Going Out – Rachel Rose Reid – I’m Hans Christian Andersen

January 14th, 2013 by

Poejazzi favourite Rachel Rose Reid (described as “the Queen of the new wave of storytellers” by BBC Radio 3) is holding a fairytale session for grown ups (what adult doesn’t need that?) on Jan 16.

In this solo performance Rachel “weaves between the bittersweet truths beneath Andersen’s sugar-coated fairytales, and our own hopes for ‘happily ever after’.” Rachel is renowned for her ability to bridge spoken word to the oral tradition of storytelling, making every experience whether she is performing with The Roundhouse Experimental Choir or solo, is always unforgettable.
